Efficiency of jojoba oil and bio-nematicide on Meloidogyne incognita and performance of flame seedless grapevine cuttings CIGR Journal
El-Nagdi, Wafaa Mohamed.
The whole world is moving to lay off chemical pesticides and replaced with natural compounds. Fortunately, jojoba oil is one of these alternatives, being a special type of plant oils containing many compounds that can improve growth, nutritional status of plants and tolerance to nematodes infection. The present study was conducted during the successive growing seasons 2015 and 2016, in the Pomology greenhouse, NRC, Dokki, Giza, Egypt. Flame Seedless grapevine cuttings (one year old) were selected to study the effect of jojoba oil at 5 and 10 %, either with or without Meloidogyne incognita infection and Bio-Nematicide “Nema-Foo®” at 5 and 10 %, with infection, was a comparison factor in addition to the control (uninfected  and infected plants). These...

Relationship between Coffee Leaf Analysis and Soil Chemical Analysis Rev. Bras. Ciênc. Solo
Sousa,Jailson Silva; Neves,Júlio César Lima; Martinez,Herminia Emilia Prieto; Alvarez,Víctor Hugo V..
ABSTRACT: Research focused on adequate nutrition of plants is essential in modern coffee production to increase yield and develop more efficient management strategies with greater environmental and economic sustainability. The objectives of this study were to establish critical and optimal levels of soil fertility properties for high yielding Arabica coffee crops using the Boundary Line method and, then, relate the macronutrient contents in the diagnostic leaf of coffee to the macronutrients available in the soil using the Quadrant Diagram of the Plant-Soil Relationship (QDpsR). The study made use of a soil chemical analysis database, leaf macronutrient contents, and Arabica coffee yield from five representative coffee-growing regions in Minas Gerais. An...
